Information foraging is the most important concept to emerge from Human-Computer Interaction research since 1993. Developed at the Palo Alto Research Center (previously Xerox PARC) by Stuart Card, Peter Pirolli, and colleagues, information foraging uses the analogy of wild animals gathering food to analyze how humans collect information online.

When I made the it occured to me it would make a cool lamp. Not the cotton crochet one, but the same shape in maybe white, semi-transparent plastic?
Last week I saw a hanging lamp in a shop which reminded me of it. It's more or less the same, I thought, no... wait... 1,2,3 and 1,2,3,4,5... it is precisely the same shape!

The artist/designer Damien Gilley produced and directed a series of experimental time displacement videos for exhibition. "Parking Lot Miracle," was shot in Vegas' Crystal Palace skate rink around the time I moved here from Kansas City. My only regret is that I didn't have a cardboard box to break on...
